Human Resources Intern
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assists department heads with staffing requirement need including posting open positions and sourcing candidates via digital job boards, and social media platforms.
- Reviews applications/resumes; evaluates applicant skills and makes recommendations regarding applicant qualifications.
- Assists in implementing recruitment and retention programs; assisting department heads in the development and implementation of programs designed to include staff engagement, recognition, and awards.
- Initiates and conducts employee background checks, drug screens, and reference checks.
- Assists with the company-wide employee of the month program (Star Performer).
- Assist the department with any projects as needed.
Skills Needed:
- Currently enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's program
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Experience utilizing social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn,
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with various platforms including proficiently or ability to become proficient in Excel and Word.
