Technical Product Manager Intern
Position Overview
We're seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy intern to join our team as a Technical Product Manager Intern. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work on Beacon's leading Trading and Risk Management platform, demonstrating its capabilities through Python coding, and engaging in data science and data analytics research. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the world of technical product management, allowing you to collaborate with our team of experts and contribute to the growth of Beacon's digital products.
What You'll Do
- As a Beacon intern you will be given the opportunity to take on a defined project, work on this with support from manager and peers and present the outcome to the entire company at the end of the internship
- Assist in designing and implementing key usage metrics to inform our business strategy and product development decisions
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis of the product and transform it into actionable product enhancement propositions
- Support the creation of business cases for new products and features
- Write Python code to extract and transform data from the Beacon Platform
- Interact directly with Beacons financial analytics from within the Python ecosystem
- Develop and deploy business intelligence and visualization tools and reports using technologies such as Python, SQL, Neo4J, Superset, Notebooks, Grafana, Prometheus

- Exhibition of a maker mindset through independent execution of personal entrepreneurial and side projects, showcasing self-driven problem-solving abilities and initiative
- Self started with proven ability to work independently with teams across time zones
- An interest in working with data to identify trends, generate insights, and contribute to problem-solving
- Interest and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Javascript
- Fluent in English, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Interest and knowledge of microservice architectures and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience in data analytics frameworks and libraries (Pandas, Numpy, Grafana, etc.)
- Proficient in creating high-quality documents and documentation, showcasing strong presentation, design, and graphic skills
- Past projects showcased in a portfolio, github repositories or open-source contributions
Expected salary range: $20 - $22
