We value learning, trust, and fun.Responsibilities:You will create and maintain features using KotlinYou will participate in our technical discussions on developing product featuresYou will adhere to standards in Kotlin development and delivery, and engage with the community of mobile developers at the TimesWhere applicable, you will integrate with broader New York Times Android platform codeBasic Qualifications:You have at least 6 months of educational or professional experience with AndroidPreferred Qualifications:You have an understanding of Android design patterns, memory management and multi-threadingYou have hands-on Kotlin experience, including writing unit tests and integration with frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, and libraries for experimentation, analytics, and remote configurationYou have a good product sense and the vision to translate product goals into quality shippable codeAbout Our Summer Internships:The duration is 10 weeks long, starting on June 3, 2024.The rate of pay for this role is $40.00 per hour.Interns work 35 hours per week.Open to Hybrid and Remote work based in New York.REQ-015809The hourly rate of base pay for this role is:$40—$40 USDThe New York Times is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that reflects the varied global community we serve.
