Role Description:

We seek a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Internto join our team.

The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department. As an IT intern at our retail firm, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various technical projects under the guidance of our technical lead. This role is designed to provide exposure to different aspects of IT operations within a retail setup, allowing you to develop your skills and understanding of technology in a real-world business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues.
• Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance.
• Provide training and support to team members in using computer systems and software.
• Perform system backups and maintain accurate records.
• Research and recommend solutions for technical problems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency in common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
• Exposure to the Shopify platform is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages (such as Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and databases (SQL or NoSQL) is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and encourage best practices among colleagues and end-users.
• Help with repetitive technical tasks.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology.
