If this is you, then Cognosante has a unique opportunity to help kick-start the next chapter in your professional life through our Military SkillBridge Internship Program, which is an initiative designed to link our nation’s warfighters to the best employment opportunities available as soon as possible in their transition process. The successful candidate will participate in a practical, structured, systematic program of on-the-job training AND related instruction to develop existing military technical experience. Internship will be a minimum of 12 weeks long and can only commence within the 180 day window before leaving active-duty service.

Data Analyst
The Data Analyst SkillBridge Intern will perform tasks which may include obtaining data through API calls, manual collection, synthetic development, and other means. The intern will perform data analysis and visualization by developing visuals that tell a story with data to inform decision makers. You will learn to use industry leading visualization tools along with how a data ecosystem is built at scale.
Key Responsibilities

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and “clean” data by utilizing Data Governance techniques
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Military experience as an E4 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)
• Must be able to complete a minimum of 8 weeks and up to a maximum of 6 months SkillBridge internship
• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• 6 years of relevant experience
