We’re growing and looking for a talented new college graduate to come aboard and join our Data Science team in Finance starting this summer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about analytics and is able to approach complex problems in an organized and detail-oriented manner. As Finance touches on all aspects of the business, you should have a desire to learn about customer behavior and the important drivers of various departments.

AS A DATA SCIENTIST AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Work with time-series datasets to forecast many of our key financial metrics, such as product revenue, bookings, billings, and infrastructure costs
  • Build data products that provide finance leadership with insights on customer usage patterns and product efficiency growth
  • Generate insights into drivers of our business leveraging statistical methods and participate in extending and developing internal tools used for this purpose
  • Build predictability and statistical confidence for the growth of our business and continue building a data-driven culture within Snowflake.
  • Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, typically unstructured problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be within 1 year of graduation from most recent degree by the time of start dateMust not be currently employed in a relevant, full time industry position
  • BS/MS in a quantitative discipline (Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or CS)
  • Hands on experience working with SQL and relational data
  • Experience with Python, including scikit-learn, numpy, and pandas.
  • Ability to clearly present learnings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. That means being flexible and willing to jump in and do whatever it takes to be successful.
