The Position
The Summer Intern, Water Operations will support data analytics efforts related to water operations and operational performance. This role will assist with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational data to support reporting, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making. The intern will gain exposure to water operations systems, data tools, and information technology applications while working alongside technical and operational staff.
Responsibilities

Assist with data analytics related to water operations, including data collection, validation, and analysis.

Support development of reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate operational insights.

Help organize, clean, and maintain datasets used for operational and performance analysis.

Assist with applying information technology tools to support data-driven operational initiatives.

Collaborate with staff to understand operational processes and data needs.

Support documentation of data analytics processes, findings, and recommendations..
Requirements
- Graduate-level or bachelor’s degree candidates with coursework or exposure to data analytics and information technology concepts.
- Foundational data analytics skills.
- Basic information technology skills.
- Ability to work with data and support analytical tasks at a junior or mid-level capacity appropriate for an intern role.
- Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
- Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average

- Demonstrated analytical aptitude.
- Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Programming skills relevant to data analysis.
- Experience or coursework in data analytics tools or methodologies.
