The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy co-op/intern student to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team for an 8- to 12-month term. This role is ideal for a student with a passion for automation, data, and artificial intelligence who wants to make a tangible impact on how procurement processes are executed and optimized.

The successful candidate will support the development, customization, and deployment of AI-driven tools and automation solutions that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and strategic value of procurement and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities within procurement workflows.

  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI tools (e.g., chatbots, document analyzers, predictive models) tailored to procurement and supply chain needs.

  • Customize existing AI solutions to align with internal processes and compliance requirements.

  • Support integration of AI tools with procurement platforms (e.g., ERP systems, internal management tools, price lists).

  • Conduct testing, validation, and performance monitoring of deployed solutions.

  • Document processes, user guides, and training materials for internal stakeholders.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and procurement automation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of Python, Power Automate, or other automation tools.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, TensorFlow).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to grasp and learn new concepts quickly.

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week throughout the internship, following a hybrid work model with at least two days per week in the office.

Nice To Haves

  • Co-op student available for an 8–12 month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship.

  • Previous co-op or internship experience is a plus.

  • Strong interest in procurement, supply chain, or business operations.
