The Position
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Industry 4.0 Organization to help expand our smart manufacturing capabilities. In this role, you will help unlock insights with Zebra’s cutting-edge IoT systems and drive manufacturing data quality. This role involves creating data pipelines, API development, creating dashboards and creating automated reports. You will accomplish this by using Python tools and frameworks such as FastAPI, Apache Airflow, Pandas, Plotly and more.
Responsibilities
- API Development and Data Analytics in Python (FastAPI)
- Data Pipeline Development in Python (Apache Airflow)
- Data Analytics & Data Visualizations: SPC controls Heatmaps, pareto charts, etc (Pandas, Plotly, etc)
Requirements
- Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking post secondary educational institution seeking at least a Bachelor's in engineering, computer science or similar with an anticipated graduation date before June 2027
- Work authorization in Canada and no requirement of sponsorship now or in the future

- Some Experience/Knowledge in AI/ML and GenAI based projects.

- Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
