The Position
As a Summer Intern in our Quality Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing web-based applications and contributing to various stages of the software development lifecycle. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will work on real-world projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and expand your skillset in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Frontend Development: Assist in implementing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, Typescript in Angular framework. Contribute to creating responsive and visually appealing web applications.
- Backend Development: Support API backend development tasks using Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET). Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services and databases.
- Database Development: Write ANSI SQL database queries for relational databases (both SQL and Oracle)
- Testing and Debugging: Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests for both Angular and .NET. Troubleshooting issues to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications. Learn best practices for debugging and resolving software defects.
- Version Control and Collaboration: Learn to use version control systems such as Git to manage code repositories and collaborate effectively with team members. Incorporate code review feedback effectively.
- Documentation: Assist in documenting software design, implementation details, and technical specifications. Contribute to maintaining documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on best practices and web development trends.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of web development concepts and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript).
- Understanding of Single Page Applications.
- Familiarity with at least one frontend framework (Angular preferred) is a plus.
- Knowledge of API backend development (.NET preferred) is a plus.
- Good understanding of SQL programming (Relational databases) is required.
- Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
