
Grants and Resource Development Intern (Summer 2026- UNPAID)

The Position
Through this internship, the Resource Development and Grants Intern will gain insight into the grant lifecycle, will gain experience with prospecting and grant writing, and will support our new neighbors at a critical point in their lives.
Responsibilities
- Attend Intern Orientation
- Research potential donor prospects
- Assist in process of donor outreach, relations, and cultivation
- Assist with administrative tasks of proposal development
- Provide support in grant-writing process
- Assist in the organization and drafting of grant proposals
- Record hours and submit completed timesheet for each month via the IRC’s online Volunteer Dashboard
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree
- Ability to work independently and be resourceful
- High level writing and research skills
- Reliable, responsible, punctual and professional
- Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfortable working in a global setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
